What do I have to do to figure out if I have a similar problem? so far I only got CTD when traveling out of snow regions but never while activating objects/talking to someone. Then again I may have missed something a few minutes ago when I tried to understand what the bashed patch is. I'll add that asap, however I doubt that's my problem, because the game crashes no matter where I'm traveling, including cities where obviously the guards should have the same equipment as in the cities I can enter. I have to admit I do not have a bashed patch as I didn't know what that is or that it even existed in the first place.

I can tell you though, that I've downloaded Skyrim+DLC from steam so that install should be fine and for all the other mods I've used NMM and followed instructions given in the description (in case there were any). I will try what Hana said as soon as I can find time to do so (I've got exams coming up so I'm spending most of my time at the campus studying).
